Kayme Clark is a photographer and designer based in eastern Washington. A native of Wenatchee, Kayme’s love for photography originated at a young age. She enjoyed taking family portraits and documenting her travels.
Although photography was an important part of Kayme’s life, she did not study it at university. Instead, she studied the world – knowing she wanted to explore as much of it as possible. While at college she participated in several research grants and graduated with honors from Central Washington University earning two undergraduate degrees – a Bachelor of Arts in History and a Bachelor or Arts in Geography.
Following college, Kayme was fortunate to travel the world. It was during this time she discovered that minimal attention had been spent on photographing historic landscapes, especially those in need of preservation. Consequently, she decided to focus her career on showcasing the world’s most engaging sites. Over the past decade, Kayme has traveled to more than twenty countries and explored five continents. These expeditions have taken her to North America, Europe, Africa, Asia, Australia and parts of Oceania. She has photographed some of the world’s most spectacular sites - from the Great Wall in China and England's Stonehenge to the Colosseum in Rome.
In addition to her photography expeditions, Kayme has worked as a production manager, art director and editor in the publishing industry. Learning and educating others about subjects and regions she is most passionate about has been an important part of Kayme’s life. When an offer came to lead the development of educational materials for secondary students it seemed like a perfect match for her. Kayme has overseen the ongoing production and design of two best selling Washington state and Pacific Northwest history textbooks used by schools across the region.
In 2012, Kayme combined her passions for photography and design and founded her own company - Kayme Clark Photography & Design. She serves clients on a local, national and international level. In her spare time, Kayme likes to spend time with family, shop for antiques, re-decorate her home, garden, cook, play tennis and of course travel.
